PHOENIX -- The Goldwater Institute announced today that it has named Andrea Woodmansee as Director of Communications. "This is an exciting opportunity to share the Goldwater Institute's policy ideas," Woodmansee said. "I'm looking forward to helping advance the research and recommendations that will make Arizona a better place for all of us." Woodmansee has served as the Institute's Director of Grants and Publications since February 2003. Before joining the Goldwater Institute, Woodmansee was Marketing Communications Program Manager for a Phoenix technology firm. She is a former Goldwater Institute intern, and has taught university-level courses in government and economics. She earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Brigham Young University.
Woodmansee replaces Tom Jenney, who announced today that he is running for the Arizona House of Representatives in District 15. "My priority is school choice," Jenney said. "Arizona needs competitive schools that reward talented teachers, give families real options, and prepare students for careers in today's complex world." By November, Jenney said, he will visit every family in District 15 and bring them the message that real change is possible and that Arizona can have the best schools in the country.
