To find the best restaurants, ask chefs where they dine. To find the best schools, ask teachers where they send their children. A study from the Thomas B. Fordham Foundation does just that. Using 2000 Census Bureau data, study authors find that on average, urban public school teachers send their children to private schools at a rate nearly double the national average, 22 percent compared to 12 percent.
