On Dec. 16, 2010, the Goldwater Institute welcomed constitutional scholar and Cato Institute chairman, Robert A. Levy, who discussed the constitutional implications of health care, gun control, differences in constitutional interpretation, and President Obama’s criteria for judicial appointments.
In his speech, Mr. Levy answered the question, "Is the Constitution irrelevant in the Age of Obama?" In light of the legal challenges to the constitutionally questionable federal health care law, the question is as pertinent as ever. Mr. Levy also took a variety of audience questions and tried to help them understand where the Constitution fits in to President Obama’s ever-expanding federal government.
