The statewide survey reveals that average tuition at private elementary and middle schools is $3,700. Average private high school tuition is $5,500.

    PHOENIX-Arizona law enforcement agencies have used a legal tactic known as civil asset forfeiture to confiscate over $64.5 million of private property since 2000, a new Goldwater Institute report documents. Civil asset forfeiture allows law enforcement to confiscate property connected to a crime without ever filing criminal charges against the property owner.

    PHOENIX-Arizona voters upheld a key constitutional safeguard in a move that protects the free enterprise system and ensures that universities can continue their academic missions, despite a well-financed campaign by Arizona's political establishment. In a report released October 12, Goldwater Institute analysts cautioned that the proposed amendment, which would have allowed state universities to take ownership interests in private companies, would have erased an important protection for taxpayers, opened the door to public corruption, and given select corporations an unfair business advantage.

    PHOENIX-The Goldwater Institute today released its second annual Legislative Report Card, a comprehensive analysis of the voting records of all Arizona legislators. The report card assigns a letter grade to each legislator based on how well their votes advanced economic freedom, personal responsibility, and constitutional government.
