Logan Kolas

Logan Kolas is a Senior Technology Policy Fellow at the Goldwater Institute and Director of Technology Policy at the American Consumer Institute (ACI). He coordinates and conducts research on technology policy issues, with a focus on artificial intelligence, data privacy, economic modernization, emerging-technology taxation, workforce flexibility, and technological federalism.

Kolas was co-chair of the FCC’s Consumer Protection and Accessibility Advisory Committee (CPAAC) for the 2024—2026 term, where he helped lead the committee’s work on illegal robocall mitigation and accessible communication technologies, moderated public meetings, and contributed research and policy recommendations through the Robocall Mitigation Working Group (RMWG).

Before joining ACI, Kolas was an economic policy analyst for The Buckeye Institute and a research associate at the Cato Institute. His commentary has appeared in The Washington Post, The Hill, City Journal, RealClearPolicy, Tech Policy Press, and regional outlets such as The Orange County Register and The Columbus Dispatch.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in economics and political science from George Washington University and holds a Master of Science in Applied Economics from the University of Maryland.
