Nichole Wilson is the Litigation Director for the Goldwater Institute’s American Freedom Network (AFN), where she works to identify, develop, and support litigation opportunities advanced by AFN’s pro-bono network of attorneys committed to protecting our rights and preserving our freedoms.
Before joining AFN, Nichole served as counsel to the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging under former Ranking Member Sen. Tim Scott (S.C.), where she focused on congressional oversight, fraud against seniors, and legislative drafting. Prior to that, Nichole served as senior counsel at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development under Secretary Ben Carson focusing on housing regulations and oversight requests.
Nichole previously served as Chief Strategy Officer at Cause of Action Institute, a nonprofit government transparency and oversight group that works to protect liberties and defend against abusive government action. She has also worked as a legal researcher for several national media outlets.
Originally hailing from West Chester, Pennsylvania, and later Annapolis, Maryland, Nichole earned her B.S. in Business Administration from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, and her J.D. from Widener University’s Commonwealth Law School in Harrisburg, PA. She is licensed to practice law in Maryland.
