Ryan McDonald

Ryan McDonald is a Government Affairs Analyst at the Goldwater Institute. In this role, Ryan supports the Institute’s legislative efforts in Arizona in areas including school choice, free speech, elections, taxpayer rights, and regulatory reforms. Ryan received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in 2020. In 2022, Ryan earned his master’s degree in government from John’s Hopkins University, where he graduated with honors. Prior to joining Goldwater full-time, he participated in the Ronald Reagan Fellowship at the Institute and was a Koch Institute Fellow. Currently, Ryan is a Ph.D. student at Liberty University, where he is studying public administration.
