Steve Silverman is a Senior Attorney at the Goldwater Institute. Steve has more than 25 years experience litigating complex tort and insurance cases at the trial and appellate level. Steve has tried cases to a jury in state and federal court, including two month-long trials that resulted in record setting jury verdicts. Steve’s cases have been covered by national and international media, including ABC News, Fox News, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal and The Hollywood Reporter.
Steve is spearheading the Goldwater Institute’s challenges to civil asset forfeiture abuse. Steve is coordinating a nationwide strategy to bring civil asset forfeiture cases in courts throughout the country.
Steve graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arizona College of Law and magna cum laude from the University of California, Riverside. After law school, Steve was a law clerk to then Justice Fred Martone on the Arizona Supreme Court.
