Peggy Noonan Bio

Peggy Noonan is an award winning columnist and best-selling author of nine books. Her brilliant, longtime work has left her trusted, admired, and made her a leader in political thought. Henry Kissinger says “Peggy Noonan’s columns and essays are exquisitely written and perceptively argued. I am a devoted reader. Her writings illuminate the issues and provide a vision of our future.”

Noonan is widely admired for her role as President Ronald Reagan’s speechwriter. She received national attention for working with President Reagan on his address to the nation after the explosion of the space shuttle Challenger. This speech later became known as one of the best American political speeches of the 20th century.

In 2010, she was given the Freedom of Speech award by the living recipients of the Congressional Medal of Honor. Noonan recently released her ninth book, “The Time of Our Lives,” a collection of essays and columns spanning a 30-year career. Her weekly Wall Street Journal column “Declarations” has run since 2000.

Peggy Noonan is a member of the board of trustees of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute.
