Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) provide families with student-centric support for tutoring, private school tuition, at-home curriculum, special needs therapies, and more. The first ESA program was established in Arizona in 2011, with 144 students enrolled for the first year. From those humble beginnings, 10 states now have established ESA programs and thousands of students have been empowered to escape failing public schools.
The Goldwater Institute designed the original ESAs and has partnered with EdChoice to conduct additional research into their current effectiveness and future potential. For the latest information, please visit https://www.goldwaterinstitute.org/esa/.
